This Excel spreadsheet is an optional tool for clients to complete a budget.

In the “Projected Costs” column, the clients enter what they think their monthly costs are. In the “Actual Costs” column, the clients enter their previous month’s costs. The point of this is to highlight the areas where clients are blowing out their budget.

Eg: it’s common for clients to think they spend ~$500 per month on food and takeaways. But adding up all the small purchases they make can often put them well into the $1,000 per month area.
